The first time I picked up a pencil to sketch was in the ninth grade, when I was under forced bedrest, thanks to a fractured leg. As a self-taught artist, I am finding my way through mediums of sketching. My current favourites are charcoal pencils. Although I continue to experiment with various styles of charcoal sketches, portraits and abstract forms continue to be my preferred styles.
